Developer Contest: We're giving away an Apple MacBook and an Apple iTV to the two best widgets submitted to Bubbletop! Come to the event to get 1-on-1 time with the Bubbletop developers and increase your chance of winning!

Introduction

In anticipation of the launch of Bubbletop and following on from the recent launch of Pikeo, we've announced the opening of both platforms for developers. We hope you will join us for the C0ding C4mp Event.

At the start of the day we'll share our plans with you, explain our projects, introduce some developer opportunities and most importantly gain your views as to how we can serve you better.

Then, in the late morning and through to the afternoon we will open the lab to anyone who wants to build a mashup or widget with Bubbletop or Pikeo.

Check out the Detailed agenda.

We will be dishing out some Apple-flavored prizes for the best widgets built. The Bubbletop and Pikeo development team will of course be on hand to help with any questions you might have throughout the day.

Are you a developer, rockstar hacker, widget lover? Do you want to develop the very firsts widget for Bubbletop?

To obtain a beta access invite to Bubbletop, just email your details to foundry@bubbletop.com. To enter the competition, simply submit your widget to Bubbletop by the 4th of August 2007. You do not have to attend the event to be eligible to enter but those who attend will be able to have 1-on-1 time with Bubbletop developers AND take the prize home with them (if they win!).

We will also be launching the Pikeo API at the event too. If you would like more information about the Pikeo API please email your interest support@pikeo.com.

More about the event

The format of the day will be very similar to other coding events. We will kick off with some brief sessions about Bubbletop Widget Platform, Pikeo API and Orange's developer program in general. Then for the rest of the day it's down to building widgets and mashups. Towards the end of the day there will be an opportunity for everyone to demo their Pikeo mashups and Bubbletop widgets to a panel of judges and of course the other attendees. The best mashups/widgets will be awarded prizes!!...

Prizes + How to enter

At the end of the event we will be awarding the creator of the best widget submitted to Bubbletop a brand new shiny Apple MacBook! And that's not all - the creator of the second best widget will be awarded an Apple iTV!
